In the beginning by Onerboi for The URS

At the time of writing this, it is one day until launch. I figured there has to be at least one blog post ready. The basic pages are almost good to go. The About page will be fairly static. The Art pages will be a bit more dynamic as I will collect and want to share new pieces. And of course some pieces will sell. But a good part of the action will take place right here, in the Blog section. At least that is the plan.

This is a fast moving space. A lot of things happened, even from starting to build this website until the launch. For me personally, the biggest surprise was getting included in SolCityRadio’s The 100 as an Artist! Through a contest I did not plan to enter. So yes, saying I am excited for that is probably the understatement of the year.

On a broader scale, both great artists Laura El and Sleepr are included in Sotheby’s Contemporary Discoveries auction! I am equally stoked for that. Though there was an open & rightful discussion on what that selection means, this recognition is fantastic.

Art will always be there. There will always be a need for beauty. Art on the blockchain is by no means a replacement of the traditional art world. It just opens up a whole new playing field. Art from all over the globe right there at your feet. An Artist-Collector connection that is unmatched. With an even greater potential.
